Their practice intersects cinematic scale with intimate, atmospheric storytelling to create bold, immersive narratives that dive deeply into the complexities of The Queer, The Regional, and The Other.
Raised across the rural landscapes of the Gold Coast, Northern New South Wales and Scenic Rim, Jordan’s upbringing was shaped by three generations of women. This deep-rooted connection to regional Australia and the natural world heavily informs their visual language, anchoring a creative practice that fuses a distinct visual lyricism with suburban surrealism to explore themes of identity, resilience, and human connection.
Jordan’s extensive work as a multidisciplinary artist has accelerated through the City of Gold Coast’s LevelUp program, and GENERATE GC—a bespoke, two-year development program focused on situating site-specific work directly within the landscape. This artistic trajectory culminates in their first major solo exhibition with Metro Arts. To scale their entrepreneurial practice alongside their creative output, Jordan recently completed a targeted business development program with the City of Gold Coast's Creative Arts Incubator.
Currently developing a competitive slate of screen projects, Jordan’s accelerating industry momentum includes a development residency at Charlie’s in Los Angeles supported by Screen Queensland and Australians in Film, as well as recently attending SCREEN FOREVER40 with the support of the Gold Coast Film Commission.
This independent development is backed by extensive commercial industry experience. Notably, during their tenure at BAZMARK, Jordan collaborated closely with Baz Luhrmann as a digital storyteller, specialising in visual narrative and historical preservation for the milestone legacy anniversaries of Strictly Ballroom and Romeo + Juliet. Their broader industry credits span major global and domestic productions, including production roles on Warner Bros.’ Elvis, ABC’s Harrow, and ABC Disney’s Reef Break.
A dedicated advocate for screen inclusivity and live curation, Jordan has produced three short films with BUSSTOP Films and held key curation roles as Associate Producer for BLEACH* Festival and Creative Producer for Somerset Storyfest, consistently intersecting high-level cinematic execution with deeply felt community connection.
