Mute is about a travelling salesman (Monette) who challenges a priests ideologies on fate, love and death. One night while working, Monette picks up a deaf and mute hitchhiker and confesses his life story of his failed marriage, his daughter and his inability to change. The short film was a poignant story that I wanted to keep focused on a domestic drama and show the ambiguous psychological elements that divide people in a marriage and their faith.
