Talent Camp is an initiative from
Australian, Film, Television & Radio School (AFTRS), Australian Writer's Guild (AWG) & Screen Queensland.
Talent Camp is a skills development program for creatives from diverse backgrounds, designed to provide opportunities for emerging storytellers to create new content and be employment ready for the screen sector.
Attending the camp at Screen Queensland in Brisbane with 15 other emerging authors in screen created a boiling pot of creativity. Coming in with pitches and ideas for web series content, we spent a week developing our stories and learning about the screen writing craft. Working with Stephen Davis, Liz Kearney and John Harvey.
Talisman is a web series currently in development and has a major industry trajectory to create a unique and special work.
Logline
An emerging journalist tries to save his job by conducting a series of personal stories in a rural Australian town where a UFO has crashed into the town’s water supply, a young man has gone missing, and the healing journey of reconnection with his ex-partner.
